Behind the Workshop: How First-Year Students Built Their First Robots

As industries rapidly evolve with automation and intelligent systems, early exposure to robotics has become essential for engineering students.
Recognizing this need, MiBOT Ventures conducted a comprehensive robotics workshop for the first-year Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) students at PSNA College of Engineering and Technology, creating an opportunity for students to step beyond theory and engage directly with real-world technology.

The workshop focused on building a strong foundation by combining theoretical understanding with practical application.
Students were introduced to MiBOT’s industry-aligned robotics curriculum, enabling them to explore key concepts such as automation, sensor technologies, control systems, and robotics integration. This approach helped students connect classroom learning with real-world technological applications.

A key highlight of the session was the emphasis on how robotics is transforming industries. Through detailed discussions and live demonstrations, students gained insights into real-world use cases across sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and beyond.
This exposure allowed them to understand the growing importance of robotics in solving complex industrial challenges.

The students demonstrated exceptional enthusiasm throughout the workshop. Their active participation, thoughtful questions, and eagerness to explore new concepts made the session highly interactive and impactful.
It was evident that early exposure to practical robotics can significantly enhance students’ curiosity, confidence, and problem-solving abilities.

MiBOT Ventures extends its sincere appreciation to Dr G Athisha and the leadership of PSNA College of Engineering and Technology for providing this valuable opportunity to engage with aspiring engineers.
Collaborations like these play a vital role in nurturing future-ready talent and strengthening the connection between academia and industry.

MiBOT remains committed to empowering students through hands-on robotics education and looks forward to building more such partnerships with institutions.
